Mickey Mouse I Have Who Has CVC
This theme has nothing to do with Dr. Seuss or St. Patrick's Day but oh well :) My teammate LOVES Disney so I decided to make I Have Who Has with this theme. I started assessing my kiddos this week and OH MY WORD, I couldn't believe that only half my class knew how to read CVC words even though we have been working on it for months. It is such a scary thought. Since they love I Have Who Has so much, why not make one that allows them to practice reading CVC words. I'm so exhausted after today since we celebrated our 100th day of school today. Whew, I am glad it is OVER!

Dr. Seuss Write the Room
My kids are CRAZY about write the room. I didn't introduce it to them until recently because I felt that they were not completely ready for it yet. With a classroom full of boys, 17 boys and 7 girls to be exact, I felt that I needed to put this off until the kids can maintain a noise level that is low during Daily 5. We did it for the first time this week and they are doing a fabulous job!

This is by far one of my favorite linky party. Join the fun by heading over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade. I just LOVE this linky party because I get to read what other bloggers are up to.
As I am posting this, I think my Patriots is going to lose :( 4th quarter 1:08 minutes left and it looks like NYG will get a touchdown. The score is NYG 15 and NE 17. C'mon Tom Brady!!!!

Valentine Literacy and Math Activities
Since I couldn't sleep last night, I decided to stay up and make Valentine activities for math and literacy since I LOVE valentine's day.
We are learning about addition so I thought it would be fun to put addition facts inside heart containers that I found at Dollar Tree and Target. Dollar Tree has a better deal on them :) I placed the hearts in a container that I found at Target that I just had to get!!! I made a recording sheet to go with it that is called I Heart Addition!
Grab the recording sheet and addition facts by clicking here.
For literacy, I made CVC and CVCe (for my higher kiddos). Each child will get a heart container, look at the CVC picture (a total of 8 pictures in each container), and write/draw the CVC word on the recording sheet. I purchased the heart container at Target. I placed the CVC words in the heart container and the CVCe in a lip container, also found at Target.

I hope you enjoy them and please leave a comment if you do decide to grab em' because I HEART comments!
