Kindergarten Common Core

With majority of the states moving in the direction of Common Core State Standards, there are many resources out there to assist teachers to make the transition a lot easier.  I really like the idea of CCSS but it can be an overwhelming process.  With the help of this resource, transitioning to Kindergarten Common Core cannot be any easier.  After downloading the preview, I knew this resource will be helpful for me as a kindergarten teacher.  The cliparts are adorable and student friendly.  I am thrilled and looking forward to using this in my classroom!

Tour of My Classroom and Beginning Sounds

I finally had the opportunity to take pictures of my classroom.  Last week has been C-R-A-Z-Y and I am so glad we only had to work 3 days.  I am loving my 22 kindergartners! They are a sweet bunch.  Here are some pictures of my classroom.

I created a packet that reinforces the use of glue, scissors, and beginning sounds.  These are perfect for the beginning of the school year.
