Lovely Blog Award

Seriously it is 3:43 am over here but somehow I still have the energy to be up even after a long day.  I got my report cards done today! Wahoo! As I was laying in bed, I couldn't sleep so decided to get up and write my sub plan for next Monday. Maybe all this excitement around California is causing me not sleep.

Currently March

My favorite linky party!  I love to read what other fellow bloggers are currently up to.  To join the fun, head on over to Oh' Boy 4th Grade.  I have found some awesome blogs because of this linky party.

Here's my currently:

Based on it, you can sorta tell my mood: EXHAUSTED and SO OVER IT! It has been a C-R-A-Z-Y month.  We had the 100th day of school, snow days (a week of it!), Dr. Seuss' birthday, getting ready for Young Author's Day, and in the mix of all that LOTS of assessing because report cards are due in a week or so. Plus we have early dismissal this week and PD next Friday so that leaves me with less time to get the kids Young Author's Day books done.  So at our school, we have a tradition where every child writes a book and that entire day of school they go and read their books that they wrote.  It is kinda a big deal.  This is my first year at this school so my first year doing this project and boy it is EXHAUSTING.  I think it is a bit too early for my kindergartners because we are still learning so much and having them write a book has been like pulling teeth.  They had to make a cover, a dedication page, all about the author, and write a few pages for their book.  I think the kids and I are just all so over it.  I have been trying to fit everything in my schedule and it seems impossible even if I get to work at 7 am, I feel like there is so much to do.  On top of all this, I have to get my masters project started.  Ahhh!! I am going crazy. I just can't wait to get this all done and enjoy my trip to California to see my brand new niece, dad, brothers, best friends, cousins, and the list goes on.  I miss my hometown :( Hopefully after I get my National Board done, I can move back to California. Okay, it is time to get focus on school work before my Desperate Housewives comes on.
