Common Core State Standards User Friendly for Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade Teachers

I have created a user-friendly Common Core State Standards for Kindergarten, First, and Second Grade Teachers.  This makes reading the standards a lot easier and great to give to parents.

Pacing Guide for Writers Workshop

I attended Writer's Workshop training and got my hands on 2012-2013 curricular calendar for kindergarten.  There are so many changes and it is aligned to the CCSS.  I have created a pacing guide based on Lucy Calkins new units of study for kindergarten.

Must Have Monday

Today seems to be the official day for me to go back to school.  I have professional development all week LONG! I am so dreading this because I am so used to wear sweat pants everyday now I have to wear jeans.  Oh no! Enough complaining, I am linking up with Blog Hoppin' Teacher Week: Must Have Monday

Here is my list:

Silhouette Cameo.  This baby has made decorating my classroom so much easier.  I love how it does not require me to buy cartridges and I am able to use my own fonts! No more using die cuts in the staff lounge that only comes in one size.

Flair Pens.  As many of you may know, I am addicted to Flair Pens.  They make everything so much prettier.

My laptop.  Like someone once told me, "once you got mac, you don't go back."  :) Macs are so much better than PC.  The possibilities are endless!

Laminator. Luckily for me, we have a laminator at school so I am able to laminate as much as I want.  I am known as the laminator queen at my school.  I have to laminator everything so that it lasts longer.

Lastly, my Erin Condren Life Planner.  It is so worth every penny.  It keeps me organize and I love carrying that darn thing around.  Why?  Because it is so darn cute!

Head on over to Blog Hoppin' and link up with your must have.

Staples and Office Depot Teacher Appreciation Day

Thought I share the news. Mark your calendar.  On August 18, Staples is giving away goodies to the first 100 teachers from 9am-noon.  Office Depot have their teacher's giveaway and breakfast on August 25 from 9am-11am.

And guess what came this week?!?!?

My silhouette cameo! Thank you casino :) I got lucky at the casino so as soon as I came home, I went online and purchase this bad boy.  I sold my Cricut a while back because I could not afford buying cartridges.  As soon as I found out about the silhouette cameo, I knew I had to get one.  I love that darn thing.  So much better than the cricut.

My erin condren life planner arrived! I felt lost without a planner so I was glad when this arrived.  Because I am addicted to chevron, I decided to go with this print.  Love it! I now need to go and buy a new set of Flair pens.

Math Survey Graphs for Students

I am having mix emotions about starting school.  I am excited to meet my new group of kindergartners but yet feeling a bit overwhelm because my classroom is no where near ready! But on a better note, my silhouette cameo and erin condren life planner arrives this week.  I have been waiting a lifetime :)

Anyways, I created math survey for my students to use during math time because they really enjoyed asking each other survey questions.  I mean, they literally ask to do it during choice time for fun instead of playing with legos or blocks.  I have created a packet with 20 surveys for students to use during math time.  If you are interested in purchasing them, please click here or you can click on the link below.

August Currently

Oh no, it means I have a month or so until I go back to school.  Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to meeting my students and waking up everyday to go to work but my room is no where near ready.  I need to get my butt in gear and get going.  Hopefully I can get it done in time, with a whole week dedicated to training.  I am excited to attend the Whole Brain Teaching Conference!!!  Well link up with this month currently by click here.
