Only one more day until my spring break is officially over. This girl is so ready to go back to work. I miss my kids so much and can't wait to start our plants unit and finish up shapes when we come back. I don't even want to think about how many more days until the school year is over. I am not ready to start job hunting again. As of right now, I am displace due to our school enrollment. I am trying to stay positive but it is so hard dealing with the unknown. All I know is that I am grateful to have a very supportive principal who is trying her best to keep me but it is not in her hands. We just need to hope and pray that the school enrollment increases. Okay enough of my sad story! Since I cannot fall asleep due to my many naps throughout the day, I decided to create an assessment/worksheet to see whether or not my students can identify 2D and 3D shapes.

I really really want to go this summer. Unfortunately we just don't have the funds to provide teachers this opportunity. Bummer!!! Teachers like me will get the opportunity to receive two free pass to I Teach Kindergarten by visiting Rockin' Teacher Materials Blog. She is hosting a giveaway so hurry up and head on over there for your chance to win two free passes!!!
In addition, I would greatly appreciate any donation toward my Donors Choose Project. It is about to expire in a month and would love to get a new easel for my classroom. Please consider helping out :) Click on the link below to go to my project page. Thank you!

Better Late Than Never Currently
Whew, I am ready for Spring Break. Our mid-winter break was cut short this school year and our spring break was later than usual so it made feel EXTRA long. I am not complaining though :) I rather not take a week off for mid-winter break and get out of school a bit earlier. Anyways, I am linking up LATE with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade.
Here's my late April currently:

Spring Literacy Games
Only one more week until Spring Break. Hopefully I can make it through 4 more days. I am so ready for spring break!
On another note, I created these fun and engaging literacy games for my classroom. My students are struggling with CVCe and CVVC so I thought these literacy games will help them. They love playing this game after guided reading group and it has definitely helped them with their reading. The skills covered in this unit are: CVCe, CVVC, sight words, letter recognition/sounds, and sight words.
